In August of 2007, Wall Street analyst Charles Ortel began alerting the public to dangers posed by structural changes in the global economy. Since February 2015, Mr. Ortel has been digging into the Clinton Foundation’s public records, federal and state-level tax filings, and donor disclosures. Including records from the foundation’s many offshoots—including the Clinton Health Access Initiative and the Clinton Global Initiative—as well as its foreign subsidiaries. He has found that the Bill, Hillary, and Chelsea Clinton Foundation has a number of irregularities in its tax records and alleges that “The Clinton Foundation is the largest unprosecuted charity fraud ever attempted”, $140 million in grants and pledges in 2013 but spent just $9 million on direct aid. He calls it “Commercegate on steroids”.
Ortel released his findings in the first of a series of 40 planned reports on his website, charlesortel.com.
Mr. Ortel graduated from Horace Mann School, Yale College and Harvard Business School. He is on the staff of The Washington Times. Mr. Ortel has appeared in print, radio and television media with increasing frequency.
