Stefan H. Verstappen is a Canadian writer and author of 8 books including The Thirty-Six Strategies of Ancient China, Blind Zen, The Art of Urban Survival, and his most recent release, The Master’s Guide to the Way of the Warrior.

He has worked as a street youth councillor in Toronto’s most notorious housing project, and later as the wilderness survival instructor for the Toronto Boys Home outward bound program.

As an instructor for St John Ambulance he helped plan and run natural disaster drills and trained police and rescue workers in first aid and CPR.

Stefan H. Verstappen has over thirty-five years’ experience in the martial arts including five years spent in East Asia. In 1985 he traveled throughout Asia and studied martial arts in Hong Kong and Taipei.
